As part of the County’s commitment to engage young people in all aspects of Scouting and in conjunction with The Scout Association’s vision for Scouting to be shaped by young people in partnership with adults, we have produced these documents to outline South Yorkshire Scouts Youth Involvement Project. As you will see from the information provided, the project is being led by our two County Youth Representatives who have worked hard to set this work in action.
I would like to draw your attention to the flyer that promotes an introductory meeting for anyone interested in finding out more about Youth Involvement. This can be attended by any young people aged 13 – 19 or adults who may wish to involved in coordinating the work at a local level.
You should find all the information you require in the attached documents but if you do have any questions or require further information the Youth Involvement Team can be contacted on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The meeting will take place on Sunday 5th February 2012, 2pm - 6pm at 82nd Sheffield (Chapeltown) Scout Group HQ, Burncross Road, Chapeltown, Sheffield, S35 1RX.
Please do pass this information on to any 13 – 19 year old and allow them to have the opportunity to help us continue to provide better quality Scouting.

Scouting offers challenge and adventure to 400,000 young people and 100,000 adults across the UK. We believe in helping our Members fulfil their potential by working in teams, learning by doing and thinking for themselves. We give people of every background the chance to stretch themselves, learn new skills and make life long friends.
